"You are my heir, son. My spiritual successor! You'll lead the family and get to eat all the sweets while you're at it, because that's what we do, we eat sweets"

My grandfather spoke through his half-conscious state. Sometimes I do wonder how he isn't the size of Hodor, or at least brandishing teeth that look something akin to a well used road in Longsight.

I was born unto the world on the 23rd of February, 1995.

It wasn't particularly significant for many, but my mum assures me that it was particularly dreadful for her. A few ounces off 9 pounds at birth, I can imagine why. The 7th child she had given birth to, some strange magic was working its way that fateful day, I was to go on to be the hell-raiser (buffoon) amongst my siblings. I have been told that the stars aligned, it was the auspicious day of Thursday and it was the 23rd of Feb, and the 23rd of Ramadan. A chilly breeze swept over Manchester, and hopefully my father didn't think twice about his stance on birth control as it ran through his fingers.

Some years have passed since then, and I'm now an altogether colourful character, those colours probably comprising of beige and black, and anything else likely to put you in mind of either sick or an old folks home.

I've been told by somebody that I'm like a dad, and whilst I like to imagine myself as one of the cool ones, I'm probably actually the one that thinks he's cool, and in fact is actually about as cool and modern as Angela Merkel's grey and powerful boxers. Probably best to shrug off that image.

I bite my lip often. I'm more at home wandering off thinking about cheesecake or Ghazali than I am to focus on the latest trends. I sometimes actually forget to eat food. I love a lot about a lot of things. I find I have an obsessive personality. My memory is nearly as sharp as my tongue, and both have often landed me in trouble. I care for the little things in life. I smile almost always.

And I love a river from Syhlet.

I'm not really here for the amount of readers, I'm here because I want to write this, and I've been asked many times to share it!

I will share with you my thoughts, my reviews, my favourite ideas, things I see, poetry, biographies, videos of me, maybe.

My name is Safi'Ullah, and I was once told that I was loved 'all the world'

Oh, and my granddad wears dentures.
